280’s newest coffee shop opens

If you know me at all, you know my love for coffee shops. Especially for someone who doesn’t even drink coffee. (I’m more of a hot chocolate/mocha girl).

280 recently became home to a new coffee shop, Bullet Coffee Co. They opened on January 9, but held their grand opening today (Friday, Jan. 18). What better way to bring in new business than giving away FREE (16 oz.) drinks? And not just coffee, any drink on the menu!

Morgan and I went by after lunch to try it out. (Several hours after Todd went by on his way to work. He got a six shooter americano coffee and said he loved it!) I got the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Hot Chocolate and she got the regular hot chocolate. (We loved ours too!) The line was super long when we arrived, but they had a sweet man out directing traffic and it moved quickly.

Their menu is extensive, featuring many variations of hot and cold coffees, specialty drinks, chai tea and more. They also offer food, including breakfast items (muffins, breads, cinnamon rolls and yogurt) and lunches (chicken wrap, deli fruit and protein pax and salads).

If you’re like me and want to know the meaning of the name, they shared this on their Facebook page:
“If you’re wondering where we got our name, we’d like our customers to expect a delicious coffee at the quickest speed around! We have fought the morning rush hour on 280 like so many others, and we strive to make your coffee stop an easy and convenient choice! “

The building is painted in black and white and located behind the Dairy Queen/across from Lloyd’s on 280. I think they’ll definitely give Starbucks a run for their money. Bullet is locally owned, and the owners actually live in our neighborhood (I haven’t met them yet, but hope to soon!)

The only thing I would change is them have inside seating so I could do my work from there!

Hours: Monday-Friday from 5:30am-8pm and Saturday-Sunday from 6am-8pm.
